Hey there! I pray all is well and that God has been with you every step of the way so far. If you haven’t been walking with Him lately then I suggest that you do. First off, if you opened your eyes this morning, God blessed you with some grace… use it wisely and righteously today friend! Secondly, I’d recommend reading my previous blogs if opening your eyes this morning wasn’t enough. However, I’ll just catch you up really quickly with this one.
So, I’ve been financially struggling and getting back on my feet since the start of Covid (ain’t that everybody story or is that just mines?). Anyways, I was talking to a few friends lately and as I was updating them about my life they grow more shocked and intrigued with my divine interventions and experiences with God. To God be the Glory because I wouldn’t have testimonies to share with anyone! Amen!
Well, long story short, I woke up one morning last week hoping we’d get that tax credit because my credit card was literally due the next day. Unfortunately, it didn’t and MLK weekend passed and I saw my account was negative (I mean at least the credit card is paid, right?). Anywho! I kept praying, like I always do, but probably by the second day of me seeing my account in that negative state, I got in spoiled brat mode…. “Man God! You always look out for Your girl, I know you don’t break promises Big G… ugh You know I was on a good streak…”
Yea… I wasn’t a happy camper in prayer as you can imagine. A couple of hours after that prayer, I get a notification that my credit score went up. I go into the account, not only has it jumped up by 24 PTS (YES 24 PTS! This is exciting for a 28 year whose credit score used to be shot and was as dead as road kill!) BUT a nearly $2700 hospital bill that had been in collections was somehow removed. (And no it has not passed the 7 year marker for collections to delete it.) That was nothing but God!
Alright, now God also knew I been trying to work on my credit too; you know I just paid my credit card….Well, I had to buy our little bit of groceries that budgeted out to $30 off of the credit card for us to survive for the next two to three weeks. (At least I got it down from $50, also the only reason why it’s so low because our only cooking resource is a mini waffle maker. We normally make a variety of sandwiches from tuna, pbj, and Vienna Sausages. We also pick up water and snacks to complete our meals).
As you can imagine, I’ve already exceeded 30% utilization because of how behind I am. (Read previous blogs) Well, God turned around and blessed me again! Hallelujah! My son brought the mail in and inside was a SNAP (food assistance card) for him being a student; we are now able to get groceries and now I can save money on my credit card! Hallelujah!
This maybe something small to you but my Pastor said something very important in Sunday Service recently: celebrate the small victories like they’re BIG victories! So I encourage you to take these key points away today:
- Believe that God can do it!
- Times can be frustrating but trust God anyways!
- Your mustard seed of faith can take you far with God!
- Be thankful and grateful, always, for everything!
- Celebrate every single success, goal, accomplishment (big or small!) with God, always!
